Many children I work with are disengaged with the educational system and often have low self esteem and find it difficult to keep up with their peers in the classroom, lacking self confidence in their ability to achieve.
My aim is to give each child I tutor the chance to succeed and become more engaged with their own learning journey by teaching them the skills and strategies they need to help themselves.
We all learn in different ways and following a short assessment I will build an individual learning programme using teaching resources and techniques best suited to your child. Individual learners respond to different strategies and this will become evident as I work with them and their learning programme will be tailored to their need and learning style.
Each session is planned for each individual child based on their need. This entails working memory activities, phonics, reading, spelling and writing support.
The use of ICT is key for many dyslexic children and I use a variety of teaching apps to help your child learn. Every lesson features fun, multi-sensory resources to provide a stimulating and motivating environment.
